The Golden Triangle and Beyond: A Long Overdue Post

It's crazy how the time passes so quickly; I've been meaning to keep up my blog, but weeks pass and I can't seem to get around to it. But I really want to document our recent family trip to India; it was one of the best trips we've taken as a family, and I would hate to leave it unmentioned.

First, this trip probably wouldn't have happened if it weren't for my wife's elderly Aunt and Uncle, who decided to make the long trek to visit us in Nepal. Their decision spawned the idea of meeting in India, initially for a few days and then, later, for a week. The timing worked well for us, with the kids out of school for local holidays, so we took advantage of the time off to hit the highlights of Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Ajmer, and Pushkar. Here's a taste of what we saw...

DELHI

Scenes from the Red Fort...

The lovely Lodi Gardens...

Laxmi Narayan Temple...

Humayan's Tomb...

Raj Ghat (Gandhi's final resting place)...

Shopping at Connaught Place and Palika Bazaar...

India Gate...

AGRA

The Taj Mahal, of course...

This one got lots of attention...
